You Can’t Control Word Of Mouth Advertising
Not so! You definitely have a creative hand in directing word of mouth advertising. You’d better be good at what you do so happy people will talk you up. In fact, take it to another level, and ‘ask’ your happy clients to create some buzz on your behalf.
Tip- create a coupon or postcard or something tangible to give to your customer with an offer on it… it’s not for them- it’s for one of their friends. Ask them to give it to someone they believe will benefit from your service or product, and voila, they have royally talked you up!
Now you have a new potential customer to create relationship with, and build up your customer base.
Happy people talk- and so do un-happy people. If that ever happens, don’t play dead under your desk, meet it head on. Call them, and ask what is the matter, with a believable ” how can I make your experience better for you?”
Go all out if you want this customer back!
As in life in general, we are aware of myths that seem to float around.
Like this one… then there was the grandma who tried to dry her damp poodle in the microwave… never happened of course, yet that story began in the 1970’s and is still around today.

So in today’s market, savvy business owners are keenly aware of creating relationships with their potential customers first. Be unique because that is what attracts people- usually to something new. Turning them into customers happens after a relationship has been formed.
People may not remember what you did for them; but they will remember how you made them feel!

You could be the highest paid prescription pick up & drop off service in Vancouver!! But wait- that’s not the business you are in!
Picture this:
You have an important client coming into the Airport at 4 pm tomorrow. You have no time out of your tight schedule to go and personally pick them up. You call Susan! Your client will not be picked up in a taxi by a nameless driver- no a professional will go and promptly collect your precious client and drive them to their hotel, and see that they are well looked after. Now, tomorrow when you have the meeting scheduled in for you to do business with your client- both of you will be refreshed and ready to focus . Sound good? (not to mention how impressed your client is with the VIP treatment they just received !)
Maybe you aren’t always needing to go to the airport, however there are definitely ways a professional concierge service can help you! You will be very surprised at the value here; the rates are amazingly low.
Time is what we all have, so use it wisely. None of us get to ‘buy another hour’ in the day! Wearing ALL the hats is not the answer to wise use of time.
