Yes, ego. We all have one. They can certainly get in the way at times. Did you know your ego does not like clarity? Isn’t getting clear what we strive for? And all along, your ego is working against you. Why, you ask?
Well, our ego does not love us, actually. It has nothing to do with our hearts. Egos are really good at turning little bumps into mountains, small things into issues, give us things to worry about and so on. They do this because they are kind of like the bureaucrat who doesn’t want to be put out of a job.
Egos create stuff , big stuff, to get you to focus on, or worry about, all the time if we let them. Of course as we begin to worry about something, that is what we will attract to us. How can you be clear about anything if your attention is on worry?
When we work at being clear about what we do want, and what our purpose is, guess what happens? Poor little ego is out of a job.
So go ahead, get clear, and give your ego the pink slip!

When we think of core values, a good one to have is loyalty. It comes from the heart. But is there such a thing as being too loyal? I wonder. The definition of loyalty is ‘faithful; true to allegiance’. Are you in a situation that you want to bring your core value of loyalty to, but somehow it is met with something that leaves you feeling unappreciated, under valued, and unhappy? It may even take you to a feeling of being unloved. You feel stuck, yet can’t seem to move on and let go? This nagging thought that you are a loyal person has you thinking I have to stay. There is a secret ingredient to what makes loyalty work. That is respect. And it needs to be mutual, on both sides of the fence. If, perhaps your employer is ‘using’ you and taking advantage of you, with expectations of working over-time, with no pay or perhaps not even a thanks, then they don’t respect you. How can you respect that? Where are you able to live from your core value of being loyal? Loyal to what exactly? You must have respect in the mix for this to work.
Check in with yourself when you get the feeling that something is amiss. Ask this simple question: ‘ how am I feeling about this?’ There are only two emotions; one feels good and the other feels bad. So, if you can honestly answer that question, and know the reason you are feeling undervalued at work, or in the current relationship perhaps, it may be the time to look deeply at the ‘why’ you feel you still have to be loyal.
Work from your heart, and take the attempt to be logical with loyalty out of the picture. Honor the feelings you have, they come from your very own Inner Wisdom. You’ll be glad you did.

With everyone’s holiday calendars filling up fast, it’s important to make sure your guests know about your party well in advance.
Your friends, family, co-workers and customers will appreciate a “save the date” reminder.
Create a message about your event – time, date, place and send out event reminders to everyone you want to invite. Its personal and an effective way to ensure you’ll see all of your invited guests at your event.
A postcard with a “save the date” theme on the front and event details on the back will likely be posted on a bulletin board or the fridge. Consider the alternative – a save the date email that gets deleted and forgotten before your guest has a chance to copy it into their electronic agenda.
